A day in the life of a College Golfer

Updated: Jan 17, 2019

What is the Life of a College Golfer like?

Student-athletes are busy! They have school, sports training, physical training, mental training, nutrition and social time to plan for!

As a college golfer, you have scheduled team practices, qualifying and tournament play with travel. What does this mean? This means it's in your best interest to have strong time management skills and organized study habits.

Here is what the NCAA shows the time of a student-athlete from Division I.

It takes time, dedication and hard work to play college golf.

At The G2 Academy, we work with our student athletes to mirror a college program with the added support needed for a young female. Our students learn how to best translate their High School experience to a successful College career.

Here is a glimpse of the daily schedule of a college player:

6:30 AM Fitness Training

8:30 AM Academics

12:30 Lunch

1:00 PM Golf Training

6:00 PM Dinner

7:00 PM Study Hall

9:00 PM Social Time/Prepare for the next day

Weekends will be spent either practicing or on the road as the team travels. It is hard work, but it is an amazing experience!
